Cutty Sark 18 year old captures the spirit of an age of discovery when sailing ships offered a freedom few could enjoy to explore far and distant lands. Cutty Sark 18 year old is a blend rich in fine aged malt whiskies the youngest of which are eighteen tears old.
To create this special blend the Cutty Sark Master Blender uses the time-honoured methods which he employs for all the whiskies in the Cutty Sark portfolio. He selects for Cutty Sark 18 year old only those whiskies only which are at least eighteen years old and have reached the peak of maturity. After lying for many years in the cool, dark distillery warehouses of Scotland, the selected whiskies are blended and ‘married’ together for up to nine months for a second period of maturation in oak casks. This allows the flavours and deep amber colour. Only the very best of Scotland’s whiskies are married together in this way.
Cutty Sark 18 and 25 year old's nautical heritage and adventurous spirit is symbolised by the distinctive packaging. An etching on the unique bottles features one of the most famous sailing ships in history - the ‘Cutty Sark’ clipper.
